About Aspiration Foundation

The Charitable Foundation “Aspiration” – is a noncommercial charitable organization formed in 2011 at the initiative of world-famous pianist Olga Kern, the laureate of numerous international competitions, winner of the first prize in the International Sergei Rachmaninoff Piano Competition and first prize winner and the Gold medalist of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and conductor Vladimir Kern, laureate of international competitions.

The main goal of the Foundation – is to assist children, who are gifted in music, to help them develop their talent, and to organize their artistic activities in Russia and abroad. The Foundation also wants to support the preservation and development of cultural values and to provide charitable funding to achieve this. And lastly, the Foundation finds it important to provide assistance to those artists,without any age limit, who for a variety of reasons have found themselves in a very difficult financial situation in their lives.

The Charitable Foundation Aspiration plans to help young and talented musicians by organizing master-classes, concerts, tours and exhibitions as well as assisting them in participating in Russian and International competitions and festivals.

Olga Kern
Pianist

Olga Kern  is now recognized as one of her generation's great pianists.
With her vivid stage presence,passionately  confident musicianship and extraordinary technique,this magnetic virtuoso performer continues to captivate fans and critics alike.
Olga is the first woman over the 30 years who received Gold medal and first prize at the 11th Van Cliburn international piano competition(Fort Worth,Texas).

Ms.Kern was born into a family of musicians,with direct links to Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff and began studying piano at age of five.
First price winner of the first Rachmaninoff International piano competition when she was 17 years old,she is also price winner of  11 prestigious international competitions-in China,Japan,Italy,Czech republic,South Africa and Morocco.

She is a member of International Academy of Arts.
Ms.Kern's performing career has brought her to the many of the world's most important venues,including Carnegie Hall,Lincoln Center Avery Fisher Hall in New York,the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory,Symphony Hall in Osaka,Salzburger Festspielhaus,La Scala in Milan,,Tonhalle in Zurich , and the Chatelet in Paris .

Ms.Kern made special appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors,followed by the concert at the White House,where she performed to honor  the legendary pianist Van Cliburn(Washington,DC).
She has appeared as soloist with the Kirov Orchestra,the Bolshoi Theatre,the Moscow Philharmonic,St.Petersburg Symphony,Russian National Philharmonic,China Symphony,Moscow Virtuosi,La Scala Philharmonic,Czech Philharmonic,Torino Symphony,Royal Orchestra of Scotland,London Symphony,Warsaw Symphony, Cape Town Symphony Orchestras,etc.

Vladimir Kern

The bright, talented conductor, with brilliant technics and artistic charisma.
The symphonic and opera conductor, the pianist, the trumpeter, the teacher,
The composer – was born in 1976 to a musical family.
In 6 years old Vladimir has given the first public concert with an orchestra.
Studying at Gnesinsky school, becomes the winner of the international charitable program «New Names», and for the first time in history the Bolshoi theatre, in 13 years old,he becomes the soloist of the orchestra.
Has finished the Moscow Tchaikovsky conservatory on two specialities-trumpet and conductiong,postgraduation and conducting courses from professor G.Rozdestvensky.
The conductor's debut has taken place with ensemble "Excelente" in 1999 in the Moscow Conservatory.
In student's years was the guest conductor - in the Ryazan philharmonic society orchestra, in the Cape Town philharmonic orchestra (republic of South Africa).
As the soloist the trumpeter constantly co-operated with
The state Chamber orchestra.

He performed with orchestras– Russian National orchestra, the Bolshoi theatre, the Moscow conservatory.
With a big success he performed in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Brazil, the USA, in many cities of Russia.
